The Faculty of Information Technology at University of Jakarta International (UNIJI) put on a fantastic and exciting exhibition at the UNIJI Open House 2026 on February 28. It was a great chance to show how technology education at UNIJI is used in real life, how it sparks new ideas, and how it connects with the industry.

Visitors, including future students, parents, and school officials, got to see for themselves what UNIJI’s IT program is all about. There were lots of interactive booths where students showed off their projects in areas like Software Engineering, Internet of Things (IoT), Data Science, and Intelligent Systems.
One of the coolest things was the Obstacle Avoidance Robot, a robotics project where students showed how robots can navigate on their own using sensors and special computer systems. This really showed how students are learning to mix hardware and software, which is super important in today’s world of automation.

Another cool project was the Parking Security System Based on RFID, which showed how smart systems can make things safer and run smoother. By using RFID technology, this project showed how these smart systems can be used in cities and smart cities.
In the data and analytics section, the Interactive Data Analysis using Power BI booth was a big hit. Visitors could see how raw data can be turned into useful information using cool visualization tools, which really highlights how important it is to make smart decisions with data in today’s businesses.
Another cool idea was the Real-Time Location Monitoring System, which showed how IoT can be used to track things in real time. This project really showed how important real-time data systems are in areas like delivery, security, and managing things.
The exhibition didn’t just showcase the technology; it also shone a light on UNIJI’s unique way of learning: through projects, teamwork, and by keeping up with what’s happening in the global tech world. The students were so sure of themselves, confidently sharing their work and explaining tricky tech stuff in a way that anyone could understand. It’s a clear sign that they’re not only good at talking but also ready to take on the world!
If you missed out on this session, don’t worry! UNIJI is inviting you to come see it for yourself at the next Open House on April 25, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00. You’ll get to see how we mix international-standard education with the latest tech innovations right here in Jakarta.
